10 Creatively Designed Halloween Party Invitations

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. I love the colors of the season, the chill in the air, the adrenaline rush of a good scare, and of course the candy. :) I also favor being able to dress up however I want and be whomever I want for the evening.

I believe the best part of it all is the creativity and passion that people put into decorating. I love seeing imagination become reality in their work. From fake tombstones, to spiderwebs, to caskets with skeletons inside, and more... people never cease to show their morbid side. I find it fascinating. I love the detail people put into making things look realistic and spooky. Creativity is artsy and I like artsy. :)

Fun Photo Squiggles

One of my favorite things to do sometimes is to see what kind of interesting and fun captures I can get with just a little light and really low shutter speed. I know that as a Photographer, one doesn't really want to get 'Squiggles' when shooting these types of images but instead 'Light Trails'. There is a difference.

In order to get 'Light Trails', one needs a tripod or sturdy surface to ensure that the trails from the lights don't come out funky or more specifically 'squiggly'. Anything could be used: a rock, bench or table. In order to get 'Squiggles', you simply need to shoot. :)

Here are my squiggle shots:

Do you have some squiggle shots? Even if they were meant to be 'Light Trails' you can share them. I would love to see them.

Art Challenge- Shadow/Orange

This week's challenge from 2 Things Blog is Shadow/ Orange.

This challenge was particularly fun for me because I spent most of my week out and about taking photos with my new camera. I have been playing around with new settings and trying to find something in the photo realm that fits this challenge theme. I almost gave up. Then suddenly, while I was watching my two year old niece play on her swing set... I found it! So without further due, here is my entry for this week's art challenge.

What did you think of this week's interpretation? Do you have one of your own? Share your thoughts in the comments and remember we would love it if you joined us and played along at 2 Things Blog for the weekly Art Challenge.

Have a bit of Fun, Finish This Poem...

I have decided that although this blog is very new and I do not have very many followers yet at all, I would like to attempt an interactive post. I have written a random poem- something fun and light- about a cat. I would like for you to play ad-lib with me and help me conclude it. Finish the story. Will you help me?

If you can't help, pass it around to your friends and family, let them help... anything silly, light and non-derogatory is welcomed(remember that young eyes may stumble upon this blog).

I warmly welcome you to play along with me. You can add as many lines or as few as you'd like. You may even give ideas. I would just like to see this take off in a way like nothing else before. No need to worry about punctuation, spelling or things of that nature... this is purely for fun. Can't wait to see what you can do. Share share share. Enjoy~!

This is the story of a cat...
A cat who thought that he was all that.
He had the look.
 He had the style.
He even had a flashy smile.
This cat, he had it all...
With soft fluffy fur,
and a  pink button nose.
He even had well-groomed toes.
All that wasn't enough for this cat.
What he wanted, oh it was much more than that.
What he wanted was tiny and grey.
Each time he tried to catch it,
it would scurry away.
(bit added by reader Ani):
He didn't want it for the reason you think.
He just liked it 'cause His nose was also pink.
(bit added by reader Myshelle):
Now our tiny and grey would scurry away, as fast as its little legs would carry it.
It has the jinx on our little minx.

Finish this story :) What happens next?

What Do You See?

So, for today I thought I would get interactive with you. I hope you will join me. I was browsing through my photography and digital creations pondering about today's post, when I came across one of my oldest abstract designs! I think it's fun to gaze upon abstract creations and try to depict what we believe they could be. Kind of like when you make up what the clouds in the sky are forming into. It's a great use of the imagination... and it's fun! Join me and let's discuss what we think is within this abstract image together.

I wanna hear from you! Let me know what you see in this funky abstract image.
