5 Popular Wedding Themes 2013

In the last year or so, we've seen a significant increase in the use of patterns and I believe we will see more of it. Patterns are a hot design element and make the announcing of the special day really pop.

 Chevron has made a huge impact in the wedding market in the last year. I expect it will continue to grow.

Another design element that I've seen a tremendous jump in activity from in the last year is peacock feathers. These feathers are so formal, elegant and classy. I believe this design fad is not one that will simply fade away just yet.

Over the years, I have seen some wedding themes go way too over board. For a lot of people, I think we will be seeing a 'back to the basics' sort of motif. The themes will be elegant and classy while still very minimal. Sometimes a little goes a long way.

Lastly, are the photo wedding themes. There has been a significant increase in this trend of having a photo of the bride and groom on the invitations and other stationary for the wedding. It makes the theme more personal and gives the person receiving the invite or thank you card etc more of an 'in touch' feeling with the wedding party. Winter 'One'derland Birthdays

Last year a friend of mine who has a (now soon to be 2yr old) wanted to throw a birthday party for her daughter who was born in January, with the theme 'Winter One-derland'. I asked if I could make her invitations for her. I don't have any children yet, but I am instantly in love with this birthday theme. I loved creating the invites and have designed several more for others since then.

New Invitations & Stationary

A new addition to my store at Zazzle are two items: Invitations and Stationary.

I decided to venture into creating invitations because I love being a part of celebration. Every moment worth inviting your loved ones and friends to is a moment to celebrate. Being able to design the invitations that will bring people together in celebration is pure joy to me. 

My invitations and stationary selection is currently a small one, but I am working to build up my inventory and bring larger unique options. Each and every invite as well as stationary, is fully customizable. You can add all of the information you need. Add your name, your initials as well as times, dates and any other necessary information. Or if you'd like, you can even remove the entire design from the invite or stationary product and create your own one-of-a-kind invite or stationary.
