A testimonial from someone who has ordered a pair of Sandalei flip flops:
"I actually own a pair of "Sandalei" flip flop sandals. A friend of mine is an artist at the company website. My flops are priceless! Well made and comfortable! NOT anywhere comparable to "Dollar Store" flops or even Old Navy. These flops are well made with thick rubber. The images are beautiful. Clear and concise. I LOVE THEM!... We people in the "Beach States" live in our "flip flops"! I now live in Nevada, but still,we do flip flops and customized flip flops are the BEST! They are fun and we take them seriously! A pair to match EVERY outfit! I wear mine all year long. Beach people don't do heels!... I THANK Zazzle for giving us this product- the Sandalei flip-flop is a "good thing" and THIS product is great! Purchase one, try them on and you too will be sold! They are worth the price!"

A Little Thanks Giveaway

This will be my very 1st product giveaway I've done since opening Beauty Within Creation Designs. I'm excited and I hope you all are too. A few days ago, I did a questionnaire on my FB fan page asking my followers which product (out of 4 favorites) would they love the chance to win. The product with the most votes was cast as the winner and is the product I will be giving away.

How will it work?
You will enter yourself by using any or all of the ways here on the giveaway form. You can do as many or as little of the options as you'd like. The giveaway form option, however, is mandatory. I'll need your email address so that I can contact you about where to send your prize.

Once the giveaway is over, I will see who has won. If you've won, the next morning I will make an attempt to contact you... I will give you 24 hours to respond to my email so please be sure to check your inbox as well as spam folder. If you do not reply, you will forfeit your prize and it will be rewarded to the next randomly selected winner.

What Will You Be Winning?

If you win, I will contact you via email to request you physical address so that I may send your gift to you totally free. You will not have to pay taxes or shipping for your prize. I will be taking care of all of that. You need only reply to my email and receive your prize in the mail within a few weeks.

I know it may seem small, but this is my little way of saying thank you to everyone who has supported me in my artistic endeavors. Doing a giveaway makes me feel like I am giving something back to you after all that you have given to me. I hope that I will be able to do something like this again soon especially if this goes well... maybe even with a bigger and better prize.

I hope you all enjoy the giveaway and good luck!

It has been awhile since I worked on my Cafepress store so I figured I should spiff it up with a few new gifts. Since the last time I was there (as I mentioned, it has been awhile) they have added new product lines for me to design for such as shower curtains and picture frames. I'm starting slow there, but hopefully you will begin to see a lot more of my work on their featured and most popular selling product lines soon.

#Office Accessory Swirls Delight #Mousepad- My Review

So far, I have made two other reviews of past products I have purchased from the online 'Print on Demand' printing company, Zazzle. Previously, I ordered a greeting card for Mother's day and two 2'' refrigerator magnets. Both products were nearly exceptional in both quality and design. Today I am reviewing a mousepad that I purchased for my office space.

Zazzle currently offers two different types of office mousepads. The first is the rectangle shaped standard mousepad with rounded edges and the second is the more premium round gel mousepad featuring a non-skid surface, custom design area as well as gel comfort wrist area too. I of course opted for comfort.

This is the mousepad I ordered:
Swirls Delight Gel Mousepad

Now for the review:

I was pleasantly surprised with this product. It arrived fairly quickly and was much larger than I had anticipated for some reason. The base of the mousepad or mat is solid, firm and really does take good grip to my desk area. The gel wrist area is quite firm but puts me in the mind of firm memory foam rather than gel. I like it. I find that I was not used to it at first so because of that, it was a bit uncomfortable. Prior to this mousepad, I have not had a gel mousepad or 'wrist comfortable' pad in years. The change was something I had to adjust to. After using it for a day though, I was able to use it with ease and complete comfort.

As for the design area, I applaud the printing company for their work. I love the result. I designed this abstract, funky tangled swirls design myself and from the original in my files, the colors are nearly perfect. The design is exactly how I made it and everything was displayed how it is shown on the preview. Wonderfully made.

An additional note about this product:
Zazzle does not glue the mouse mat (the design area- or in this case the swirly part) to the base of the mouse pad. They arrive in one piece but are able to be taken a part so that you may remove the mouse mat to clean it and under it where dust and foreign objects (crumbs, hair, etc) may collect. The option is yours to decide whether to permanently make it one piece or keep it just the way it is. Personally I like that I can remove the mat anytime I need to. But if I should change my mind, a simple dab of crazy glue around the edge of the mouse mat (design area) will do the trick to keep it in place. :)

Some photos I took
(poor lighting/ new camera issues please bare with me)

Fridge Magnets- My Review

As I dabble more into designing fully customizable gifts online, I become more addicted to seeing firsthand what they look like. That's a good thing- for you :). Now you can see and read my review about both my design and the product that was crafted by the printing company I use- Zazzle.

current product review- 2'' square shaped refrigerator magnets.
Here are the magnets I purchased:

Be Unique by BWC Designs

NO Mask! by BWC Designs

My review: First off, I must say that these magnets may be on the smaller side, but they are quite strong. The force of the magnet itself is very strong and doesn't allow for easily or accidental budging. In a nut shell, these little magnets stick!

The printing was true to color and my designs came out exactly how I made them to look. Although one would think that 2''x2'' is relatively small, these magnets are really a nice simple size; not too bulky. These magnets are not flexible or bendy but are very durable with a Mylar protective covering. The covering is meant to be scratch resistant but I noticed a few very small, very light scratches when one of the magnets was tilted at an angle. The scratches are faint and not noticeable when looking directly at it. I believe these little magnets are meant to last.

I am over-all very satisfied with the product itself and my designs. I believe the quality of the magnets is wonderful and that Zazzle (the printing company) did a great job with the product as well as printing my design to the truest and greatest ability possible.

A few photos: My apologizes for the poor quality

No Mask! Magnet- poor lighting messed up colors on masks in photo

Mother's Day Card-My Review

A part of being a growing artist is seeing what your product looks like in print. I have been ordering my designs so that I could see the quality of the print from the company I am working with, the quality my design and so that I may share my honest review of both the design and the product with you.

Mother's day is coming up and although I had already ordered something special for my mother, I needed to order something special for my mother in-law. I decided that now would be a perfect time to order one of my religious inspired mother's day greeting cards.

Here is the card I ordered:
For You Mother by BWC Designs

and now for my review:

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the card. The card is firm, standard size and came well packaged in a timely manner. I actually received it a few days earlier than I was expecting. Every detail on the card came out exactly how it was designed. The colors were true to my design and what I previewed on the computer. My only negative comment is that the card was printed on glossy stock which is very professional looking but is also shiny and can detract from the design as well as easily pick up fingerprints. I hope that in the future other paper stocks become available for greeting cards.  Over-all, the greeting card came out wonderfully and I just know that on mother's day my mother-in law is going to love it!

Here are some photos of it that I took. Sorry for the poor lighting.

New Fractal Gifts!

Fractals are one of my absolute favorite images to create. I love that no two are ever the same. I love the colors, the shapes and the repetitiveness that is so obvious but yet so subtle in each creation. I love that it is mathematical. Creating a fractal design is all about math. Fractal art is a form of algorithmic art created by calculating geometric objects and representing the calculation results as abstract still images, animations and media. Even my husband can enjoy that type of artwork. Then again, anything abstract, unique or one-of-a-kind will catch his attention... I did. :D

New Daisy Themed Gifts Have Arrived

In my anxious wait for Spring,-which is quickly approaching- I have been working on artsy floral designs to sell online in my store. My quest began with Daisies. I love Daisies. They are so pretty, so popular and can be found almost anywhere because they are a multi-regional flower. They also come in different colors such as pink, yellow, white and even purple.

A few fun facts about Daisies:
  1. A Daisy is a type of wildflower that is said to have originated in Central, Western and Northern Europe.
  2. Daisies go well with nearly any other kind of flower in floral arrangements. White Daisies are often used as fillers in bouquets to create a dramatic look along with other more colorful flora.
  3. Daisies are the flower of choice for making flower chains, bracelets, headbands or necklaces.
  4. The leaves of a Daisies are edible and can be used as a healthy addition to a bowl of salad.
  5. A Daisy flower blooms at dawn and closes at night and so it is sometimes also called "day's eye"
  6. There are many different beliefs and stories about what Daisies symbolize but the over-all thought is that they represent light and adding brightness to people's lives.

Art Challenge- Book/Words

I have been very busy with work these past few weeks and so as a result, I have been unable to participate in my favorite weekly art challenge hosted by the 2 Things Blog. This weeks' challenge Book/Words seemed fairly simple and yet there are still endless possibilities that could be done to create a wonderful interpretation. I can't wait to see what the others have done for this week.

Do you have an interpretation for this weeks' challenge? If so, share a link to your image, art, photograph, poetry etc in the comments. I would love to see it!

Here is my interpretation for this week:

New Invitations & Stationary

A new addition to my store at Zazzle are two items: Invitations and Stationary.

I decided to venture into creating invitations because I love being a part of celebration. Every moment worth inviting your loved ones and friends to is a moment to celebrate. Being able to design the invitations that will bring people together in celebration is pure joy to me.

My invitations and stationary selection is currently a small one, but I am working to build up my inventory and bring larger unique options. Each and every invite as well as stationary, is fully customizable. You can add all of the information you need. Add your name, your initials as well as times, dates and any other necessary information. Or if you'd like, you can even remove the entire design from the invite or stationary product and create your own one-of-a-kind invite or stationary.

Here are a few of my newest Invitations:
(more colors can be made available)

Here are a few of my newest Stationary products:

These product selections are still growing but if you find yourself browsing my shop and see a design that you would like on any other product, please contact me.

Silly Drawings

I am majorly one who does not partake in drawing. I am simply not very good at it. My brother inherited that skill from somewhere, I didn't. My artwork is mostly derived from my photography, vectors I have made using Inkscape and fractal programs. I do sometimes endeavor to draw though and I do have a few products with my hand-drawn artwork on them. I never tend to leave my hand-drawn artwork as is, so I usually put my drawing into Photoshop to touch it up a bit and bring out the colors.

Last night, so I put pencil to pad and went to work. It took me some time to do three silly little drawings, but I like them and would like to share them here today. I would really love your input about them. Please leave me a comment or send me a message using the contact me button.

New Product in my shop!- Plates!

I love having new products and gifts to create designs for and now I have something I have been waiting for a long time. melamine plates!! These plates are dishwasher safe and non-toxic too, so they are safe to eat off of. They are perfect for collecting, creating a custom/personalized dining or party set. There are endless possibilities about what types of designs could go on them and what they can be used for. Some ideas to use these plate for are for parties, weddings, dining sets for your kitchen and even as collectible gifts for family and friends.

Some details about these Melamine Dinner plates
They are actually a decent size, being about 10'' in diameter. They are designed in high quality vibrant, full-color printing with the design that you choose. These plates are meant to be drop and break resistant as well as easy to clean. They are not microwave safe though, which may be their only downfall to some.

I do know that I love designing these new products. There are so many new products still yet to be unveiled... for now though, I would like to share a few of my custom plate designs with you here. I hope you'll enjoy them and share this article with others.

Art Challenge- Apple/Art

For this week ( I completely miss last week's challenge btw) challenge on 2 Things Blog, the theme is Apple/Art. With this theme, I thought I would pull out an older art piece I made years ago for a ministry program I worked on and I figured I would play with it a little bit for this challenge.

The program I worked on years ago was a ministry DVD program discussing temptation. For this, we used the image of an apple because although not proven... it is the most popularly thought of fruit that Adam and Eve took a bite of from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. It is always good to go with something people are familiar with. I myself, believe that the forbidden fruit is not a fruit we have yet re-discovered as there is only one particular tree growing flourishing that type of fruit; just as there was only one special tree in the Garden. On the other hand, if we have acquired the fruit our fallen ancestors-Adam and Eve- here outside of Eden... I believe it would be a more exotic fruit; something not as easy to come by.

What type of fruit do you believe Adam and Eve ate from? Was it an Apple, a Pomegranate or something more exotic? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Here is my entry for this week's theme: Apple/Art

Pixelated Ruby Red Apple with green leaf
